Armed Robbery in Prince Rupert

On October 6th, 2017 at approximately 1:03 PM the RCMP were called to a report of a bank robbery at the Bank of Montreal located at the corner of 2nd Ave West and 3rd Street in Prince Rupert. The male suspect entered the bank and threatened the staff with a weapon prior leaving through the main entrance doors with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled North bound and crossed 2nd Ave West prior to turning East down the alley between 1st Ave West and 2nd Ave West.

The suspect is described as being:
- 6 feet to 6'4" tall
- Large build
- Wearing a grey sweatshirt and dark pants. (see the photographs)

The RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in identifying this male. If you observed anyone matching this description before or after the time of this robbery you are asked to contact the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-627-0700 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
