Armed Robbery Of Convenience Store

On July 17th, 2017 at approximately 11:00 PM the Prince Rupert RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at PJ's Park Ave Foods located at 1665 Park Ave. A lone suspect entered the store, produced a weapon and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect exited the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled Southbound on Smithers Street towards Sloan Ave. The suspect is described as being 5'6'' tall, with a stocky build. The suspect had their face covered and appeared to have paint on their face underneath the disguise.

The Prince Rupert RCMP would like to speak with one potential witness who may have observed the suspect walking on Smithers Street. If any one has any information to provide they can contact the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-627-0700 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
