The Prince Rupert RCMP are investigating a number of incidents of vandalism that occurred over the weekend. On June 3rd, 2017 police were called to investigate three vehicles that had their tires slashed in the 1500 block of 7th Ave East.

On June 4th and 5th police received several reports of vandalism which included: 2 businesses downtown having windows broken, 2 churches spray painted, the Prince Rupert Middle School was spray painted, and multiple vehicles were sprayed with black paint.  All of these incidents happened on the West side of town.

The RCMP is actively searching for the individual(s) involved in these senseless acts of vandalism and are looking for the public's assistance. The message from the RCMP is for the public to keep an eye out in their neighbourhoods and to report any suspicious activity to the police.
